I am currently working on Ch. 9 tutorial "Poolside." We used the lasso tool and move tool to change the positioning of the fern. We continued this to set it on different sides along the pool.
I took this photo using the reflection of the computer screen. This project is for us to experiment and find objects that we can have reflections in.
This is my final portrait photo from a wedding that I took pictures at. I used a 5.6 aperture, 1/160 shutter speed, and 800 ISO. It was relatively darker inside, where the wedding took place, so I had to use a longer shutter speed to let more light in. The large aperture creates a depth of field, where the background becomes blurred and the focal point stands out. This is one of my favorite photos that I took because it shows a lot of emotion.
I worked with Halley, Gillian, and Hunter. I liked the color scheme and grizzly paws. If I were to change anything I would just play around with the fonts and make them look better. During this project, I learned that you must work diligently and it is better to finish the project with a group so you can divide the work. I enjoy working on photoshop because there are multiple layers and it is easier to be more creative.

I am on tutorial #8 and I am working on incorporating multiple elements and principles within each layer.
For the depth of field project, I am taking many pictures and making them the main focus of the image. The background is blurred, which allows the focal point of the image to stand out. This photograph successfully shows a shallow depth of field. By putting up a light and sunny wallpaper, it contrasts with the dark and gloomy skies. The multiple elements and principles within the image are unified to create an image of an alternate reality. The effect of this image is powerful because if it is gloomy day, you can make your own sunny day and be optimistic about the weather. Also utilized within the picture, is the rule of thirds. The man is the main focus and draws the attention of the viewer.
During the beginning of the silhouette project, I had trouble finding the perfect setting to create a silhouette. Eventually, towards the end of the project I found a good setting during an overcast day. The final picture had the settings of 1/2000 shutter speed, 400 ISO, and an aperture of f/10. I slightly edited the photo in order to make the silhouette stand out and be the main focus of the image. Overall, this project was a fun and challenging one, that I enjoyed experimenting with.
