During the beginning of the silhouette project, I had trouble finding the perfect setting to create a silhouette. Eventually, towards the end of the project I found a good setting during an overcast day. The final picture had the settings of 1/2000 shutter speed, 400 ISO, and an aperture of f/10. I slightly edited the photo in order to make the silhouette stand out and be the main focus of the image. Overall, this project was a fun and challenging one, that I enjoyed experimenting with.
The rule of thirds is exemplified in this photo. The koala's eye is in direct contact with the upper left intersection. This creates a focal point towards the koala's eye. Also the green colors in the background contrast with the grey color of the koala. With the high contrast, the koala stands out and remains the focal point of the image. With the bright photo, viewers are drawn to the magnificent green of the background.
